Job Summary Under the direction of assigned supervisor, provides a variety of responsible clerical support to an assigned department or program; communicates information to staff and the public and provides information related to assigned program and activities; prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports related to assigned programs and activities.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
The Office Assistant II classification provides diversified clerical support to a school or District office requiring an understanding of a process or functional area and requiring a higher level of independent judgement.
The Office Assistant I classification is the entry-level classification in the Office Assistant series and provides an opportunity to learn the terminology, processes and operations of an assigned school site or District office.
Incumbents provide general and varied clerical support to an assigned office.
Requirements / Qualifications 2223-40 (DUAL MERGED) An examination will be given to establish an eligibility list for the position of Office Assistant II in order to fill current and future vacancies.
The eligibility list will be valid for six (6) months.
These positions are full time, 8 hours per day, 260 paid days a year.

The Oral Board/Performance-Based Examination will be given by appointment only.
Following the conclusion of the Oral Board Examination, the candidates will be ranked and notified of their scores.
All testing will take place via Zoom Meetings or at La Mesa - Spring Valley School District's Education Service Center, 4750 Date Avenue, La Mesa, CA 91942 (Phone:
