We are a 24 hour Emergency and multi-specialty veterinary hospital in La Mesa with supportive leadership, structured training, and opportunities for growth! Schedule:
Full time, 4x10 hour overnight shifts in the Emergency/Critical Care Department.
One weekend shift will be needed.
Pay and

$18 - $29/hr depending on experience and skillset,
shift differentials.

Proficient in venipuncture for dogs and cats Proficient in IV catheter placement Proficient in restraint and safe animal handling Perform thoracic and abdominal radiographs for dogs and cats Knowledge of triage and common emergency cases Ability to obtain and understanding of normal vital signs for dogs and cats.
Knowledge and training in RECOVER CPR protocols Solid understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology Set up patients for hospitalization and assist the Doctors and teammates with hospitalized patient care from post operative recovery to critically ill patients.
Doppler blood pressure Exceptional communication skills with Doctors, teammates and clients.
Fill medications as prescribed by Veterinarian.
Maintain lab flow sheets for patients Run in house lab work eg.
CBC, Chemistries, blood gases, coags, snap tests among others.
Restock, clean and maintain clean and safe hospital environment.
Set up and clean up for multiple emergency procedures.
Anesthetic monitoring experience around eg.
Foreign body surgery, laceration repairs, urethral obstruction.
Exposure to handling and care for exotic species that come through our hospital.
